1UR-FSE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING (for AWD): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Fuel

Injector (for Port Injection)/Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

3. REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

(a) Remove the engine and transmission See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal.

4. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal
5. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR See: Exhaust System/Exhaust Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal
6. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR See: Exhaust System/Exhaust Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal
7. REMOVE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal
8. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR

(a) Remove the 2 nuts, 2 spacers and 2 insulators.
