Removal

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle

4. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE   See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

6. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)   See: Accessories and Optional

Equipment/Collision Avoidance and Parking Assist Systems/Distance Sensor/Service and Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the cable cover.

8. REMOVE FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips and remove the protector.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the cap.
