Thermostat: Service and Repair
Installation

1UR-FSE COOLING: THERMOSTAT: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL WATER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH THERMOSTAT

(a) Install a new gasket and the water inlet with thermostat with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

2. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

HINT
The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

3. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the radiator reservoir with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 reservoir hoses.

HINT
The direction of the hose clamp is indicated in the illustration.

4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT   See: Coolant/Service and Repair

5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Installation

6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK   See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics

7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Installation
