2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER OR TECHSTREAM (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)

(a) Using the intelligent tester or Techstream, read the Data List.

(1) Intelligent tester

OK:
Condition sign can be displayed.
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the windshield wiper switch with a new or normally functioning one See: Sensors and Switches/Sensors and Switches

- Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Switch/Service and Repair/Removal.

(b) Check the windshield wiper switch operation.

OK:
Windshield wiper switch operation is normal.
NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
OK -- END (REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH)

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the L12 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the M2 sensor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
