1998 B-Series built from 10/1/97 through 1/31/98.
DESCRIPTION
A flashing overdrive off indicator (O/D OFF) with the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) "ON" and Diagnostic Trouble
Codes (DTCs) P0741 and/or P1740 may occur. This could be caused by a damaged Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid. A modified part is
available to resolve this concern.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer concern.
2.
Perform Workshop Manual diagnostic procedures and perform necessary repairs.
If concern is still present, inspect TCC solenoid for the following conditions. Refer to illustration.
