PROCEDURE - ENGINE WILL NOT START OR HARD TO START
1.
Crank engine without depressing the accelerator pedal.
2.
If the engine does not start after ten (10) seconds, stop cranking the engine. Wait ten (10) seconds and crank again. Repeat this process until the
engine starts.
NOTE:
When the engine starts, keep starter engaged until the engine speed reaches 750 rpm.
Service Advisors should inform customers that short cranking periods will contribute to hard starting. A long cranking period may be necessary during
cold temperatures. Recommend that the customer use 5W-30 oil during the winter months.
