Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection
Leakage Test
Fuel Leakage Test
1.
Remove injectors and fuel distributor as a unit.
2.
Reconnect main and return fuel hoses.
3.
Connect diagnosis connector terminals F/P and GND with a jumper wire.
4.
Turn ignition ON and check for injector leaks. It should be less than 1 drop / 2 minutes.
5.
If leaks occur, check injector O-ring and fuel distributor contact face.
6.
Carefully reinstall injector to prevent O-ring damage.
7.
Turn ignition ON and check again for leaks.
8.
If leakage still occurs, replace injector.
