Front Door Striker: Adjustments

STRIKER ADJUSTMENT

WARNING:  If the Side air bag sensor is subjected to shock or the sensor is disassembled, the side air bag module may operate (deploy)
suddenly and cause injury, or It may fall to operate normally and cause a serious accident. Do not subject the side air bag sensor to shock or
disassemble the sensor.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute. For additional information, refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT.

NOTE:  Before adjusting the door latch striker plate, verify that the door can be closed easily and fits tightly.

2. Loosen the door latch striker bolts.

3. Reposition the door latch striker plate from side to side or up and down as necessary.

4. Tighten the door latch striker plate bolts.

NOTE:  The rear door is shown, the front door is similar.
