AdJusting hood preload

1.

Remove radiator grille.

2.

Loosen locknuts (2) on right and left preload hood stops.

3.

Turn hood stop ends. (3) in until they just contact the hood frame. Then turn them out exactly three turns more. Lock them in position with the
locknuts (2).

4.

Reinstall the radiator grille. Except for setting the preload, do not close the hood without the radiator grille attached because the hood stops can get
hooked in the frame.

5.

Lubricate hood latches and hinges.

Warning:
After all hood adjustments are competed, check to be sure the hood safety catch still works securely.
