If one or more of these checks shows the hood out of adjustment, proceed with the appropriate section below.

Before adjusting the hood side-to-side or lengthwise, release the hood frame front preload. To do so, loosen the locknuts and turn both hood stops
(7) inward until they no longer contact the hood when it is closed. See preload readjustment and illustrations.

For simple lengthwise adjustments or for rear height correction only, loosen the bolts (arrows) at the tops of the hood hinges and adjust the hood.

For more extensive adjustments or for a greater adjustment range, adjust the hood as described under A, B, C, and D.
