All Model 129, 202, 208 and 210 Vehicles

Up to March 1, 1998 Production with CODE (472a) Electronic Stability Program (ESP) ESP Indicator Illuminated Within Instrument Cluster

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the ESP indicator lamp illuminated and fault code C1332 [BAS solenoid valve, open
circuit] stored, perform the following to resolve.

Note:

Fault code C1332 is automatically generated when another fault code is set within the ESP control unit. This condition is valid for ESP control
units 0255456132, 0255456232, 0255456332, 0245450832, and 0215453232 with software 43/97 and 52/97.

1.

Using STAR Diagnosis check if any other fault codes are present in conjunction with C1332 within the ESP control unit.

2.

If there are other fault codes present, code C1332 can be ignored and erased. The other fault codes must be processed as outlined by STAR
Diagnosis.

3.

If C1332 is the only fault code present, than this code must be processed with STAR Diagnosis.

Refer to WIS Document AD42.45-P-1000AZ for Model 129, 202, 208 and 210 with engines 112 /113 and 606. Refer to WIS Document
AD42.45-P-1001AZ for Model 210 with engine 119.
