Air Door Vacuum Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair
Switchover Valve For Main Flap, Removal and Installation

Permissible leakiness for individual components of vacuum system

20 mbar at 300 mbar vacuum

Special Tool:

Vacuum tester

Self-Made Tool:

Removal:

1. Remove glovebox.
2. Remove righthand shutter.
3. Partially loosen connecting hose between shutter and heater box (air guide).

4. Pull-off 2-point plug of switchover valve (14), as well as the two vacuum lines (refer to arrow).
5. Unscrew switchover valve (14) from heater box.

Installation:

6. Screw switchover valve (14) to heater box.
7. Plug 2-pole plug and vacuum lines to switchover valve (14).
8. Mount connecting hose between shutter and heater box (air guide).
9. Install right hand shutter.

10. Run engine at idle speed. Switch on air-conditioning system and check main air flap as well as switch over valve (14) for function.
11. Install glovebox.
