Remove steering worm (3) from bearing cap (7), then the axial cylinder roller cage (32) from steering worm, Fig. 16.

On type 1 steering gear, remove sealing ring (30) and O-ring (29) from steering worm (3), Fig. 12.
19.
On type 2 steering gear, remove sealing ring (88) and O-ring (89) from bearing cap, Fig. 13.

On all gears, remove axial washer (61) from bearing cap.

Remove hex screws (45), mounting clip (44) and both ball guide halves (43), Fig. 17.
