Telephone number previously edited from the address book of the "master control unit"
Address entries can contain the following:
^
Names (surname and first name)
^
Postal addresses (private or business)
^
Telephone numbers (pager (only with code (389) Mobile phone preinstallation with universal interface, USA/Canada), private, business, landline,
mobile or car)
^
Geo position (private or business)
^
Company name
A total of 50 entries with voice commands (voice tags) is available for the voice control system. The address entries stored in the "master control unit"
and the data loaded from the mobile phone's phone book are displayed in the address book.
The mobile phone is taken out of operation by pressing the On/Off button on the mobile phone and subsequently removing the SIM card.
The SIM card may only be removed after the mobile phone has been deactivated in order to prevent permanent damage to the memory chip installed on
the SIM card. When the mobile phone is switched on again, the PIN has to be reentered.
Private mode (comfort telephony only)
When in "private mode" the user can make a telephone call without other vehicle occupants being able to hear the conversation. This is achieved by
taking the mobile phone out of the cradle during the phone call and thus disconnecting it from the "master control unit". The phone call is retained on the
mobile phone and can be continued on this. It is also possible to continue an existing phone call in handsfree mode by inserting the mobile phone back
into the cradle.
Voice output
In vehicles with code (810) Sound system, the voice output takes place in handsfree mode from the "master control unit" via the Media Oriented System
Transport (MOST) to the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3) and from there directly via discrete lines to the following speakers:

Left front door speaker (H4/1)

Right front door speaker (H4/2)

Left rear door speaker (H4/3)
^
Right rear door speaker (H4/4)
^
Center instrument panel speaker (H4/27)
^
Bass speaker (H4/29)
^
Left rear surround speaker (H4/54)
^
Right rear surround speaker (H4/57)
On model designation 204.0 with code (810) Sound system, the right rear surround speaker is integrated into the bass speaker (H4/29).
On model designation 204.2 with code (810) Sound system, the left rear surround speaker (H4/54) is installed in the left D-pillar and the right rear
surround speaker (H4/57) in the right D-pillar. The bass speaker (H4/29) is installed in the left load compartment.
In vehicles except code (810) Sound system, with basic telephony and comfort telephony the voice output in handsfree mode takes place from the
"master control unit" directly via discrete lines to the following speakers:

Left rear door speaker

Right rear door speaker
^
Center instrument panel speaker
