Incorrect installation of connectors can result in bent pins.
Bent pins will result in component malfunction or failure.
Inspect connectors before and after installation.

C. Version Coding

1. The retrofitted digital Tele Aid control module is not activated. Activate the digital Tele Aid control module by following the Preliminary Draft of

"DAS Procedure - Digital Tele Aid Control Module Retrofit" posted on Star TekInfo. Also see posted on Star TekInfo, the Preliminary Draft of
"MMI Overview - Digital Tele Aid Control Module Retrofit"

NOTES:

No service call warnings are displayed on the Instrument Cluster. Service call warnings are displayed only on the head unit as a "Mute" or
"Wail" string.

The Instrument Cluster does not display any Tele Aid warnings. This also applies to the "Tele Aid defective" notification which is only
notified through the ICALL, RCALL, and SOS button LEDs staying on when ignition is turned on.
