The status of the left rear seat belt buckle switch (S68/5) and of the right rear seat belt buckle switch (S68/6) as well as the center rear seat belt buckle
switch (S68/14) is read in by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and provided on the chassis CAN for the supplemental
restraint system control unit by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).

Chassis CAN (with code (494) USA version)

The status of the seat occupied recognition is provided by the weight sensing system (WSS) control unit (N110) on the interior CAN (CAN B) and
forwarded by the front SAM control unit on the chassis CAN.

Evaluation of input factors

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.

Chassis CAN

The signals are sent by the supplemental restraint system control unit via the chassis CAN.
