Cougar V6-153 2.5L DOHC VIN L SFI (2001)
4. Install a new snap ring.
5. Install halfshaft joint at the transaxle end.

Pack the tripod joint with 180 grams of High-Temp Constant Velocity Joint Grease E43Z-19590-A meeting Ford specification
ESP-M1C207-A and install it.
1. Insert a small screwdriver under the boot seat to allow the air to escape.
2. Slide the tripod joint inwards as far as the stop, then pull it out 20 mm.

Remove the screwdriver.
6. Using the special tool, tighten the large boot clamp.

Position the large boot clamp at the transaxle end in the annular groove of the boot.
7. Install halfshaft joint at the wheel end.
1. Slide on the boot and the small boot clamp.
2. Install a new stop ring.
3. Install a new snap ring.
4. Pack the halfshaft joint with 170 grams of High-Temp Constant Velocity Joint Grease E43Z-19590-A meeting Ford specification
ESP-M1C207-A and slide onto the halfshaft.
