Gradual loss of engine power, and possible stops, during acceleration after hot soak, can be attributable to an over-temperature condition with the engine
off.
As for the 1982 calibrations, the cooling fan should be allowed to continue to run after the engine has been shut off until the coolant temperature has
been reduced to 220°F or less. Service as follows:

The cooling fan relay (with a green connector) is located on the dash panel extension on the driver's side of the ignition module (Figure 11).
NOTE:If circuit #37 (Yellow) feeds both relay terminals, the vehicle has the run-on feature and does not require a rework.
