Front Door Latch
FRONT DOOR LATCH
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the front door trim panel.
2. Remove the bolt and the interior door handle.

To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
3. Position the watershield aside.
4. If equipped, disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector.
5. If equipped, disconnect the remote keyless entry key (RKE) pad and front door disarm switch electrical connectors.
6. Push the wiring harness grommet through the door module.
7. Position the front door window to access the glass clamp bolts.
8. Loosen the 2 window glass clamp bolts.

Position the window fully up and secure it with tape.

To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
9. If equipped, disconnect the front door lock cylinder rod.
10. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod from the front door latch.
11. Remove the 3 front door latch bolts.

To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
12. Remove the 11 bolts and position the door module aside.

To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
13. Disconnect the door ajar switch and the door lock actuator electrical connectors.
14. Disconnect the push button rod from the front door latch.
15. Remove the remote cable cover from the latch.
16. Release the handle cable from the latch.
17. Remove the front door latch from the bracket.
18. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
