This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to add Operation Times.

ISSUE: 
The Front End Accessory Drive (FEAD) belt may slip on some vehicles during wet weather conditions and/or when driving through puddles and/or the
crankshaft pulley may be damaged. This may result in increased steering efforts and/or charging system lamp illumination.

ACTION: 
Replace the FEAD belt and inspect the crankshaft pulley for damage. The new belt should reduce the possibility of belt slippage. Refer to the appropriate
Taurus/Sable Service Manual for replacement details.

NOTE: 

WHEN REPLACING A DAMAGED CRANKSHAFT PULLEY ASSEMBLY, ALSO REPLACE THE BELT WITH THE BELT LISTED IN THIS
TSB ARTICLE.
