While the carburetor is off the engine, remove the choke and anti-dieseling solenoid wires from the existing "J" clip. Install the 48R109 retaining
clip under the air horn screw that is just to the left of the screw that holds the existing "J" clip. (Figure 8). While tightening the air horn screw, hold
the clip so that it points straight out, away from the carburetor. Torque the air horn screw to 45 in.lbs.
Remove the black plastic convolute tubing from the choke wire. Measure and cut 2 inches off the tube, and reinstall the long section (3 inches) back
onto the choke wire. Install the 2-1/4 inch section onto the anti-dieseling solenoid wire. Push the convolute towards the choke cap and solenoid
body, and install the wires only (not the convolute) into the new retaining clip only. Make sure the convolute rests on the solenoid bracket in order
to prevent wear on the solenoid wire.

Replace the carburetor assembly and reconnect the associated fuel and vacuum lines. Reconnect the TV control linkage, if so equipped, and check
for function. Reconnect any electrical connections except the blue connectors that supply current to the anti-dieseling solenoid.
