Seat Track: Service and Repair
Front Seat Track
REMOVAL
1. Remove the front seat and front seat track assembly from the vehicle.
2. If servicing a power front seat, refer to the fore-and-aft transmission removal and installation. See: Service and Repair/Transmissions, Power
Seat/Fore And Aft
NOTE: This procedure is for the manual front seat track. The power front seat adjuster procedure is similar.
3. Place the front seat upside down on a clean, sturdy workbench.
4. With the front seat in the fully forward position, remove the two front seat track-to-front seat frame front bolts.
5. Adjust the front seat to the fully rear position.
6. Remove the two front seat track-to-front seat frame rear bolts.
7. Remove the front seat tracks.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the front seat track-to4ront seat frame bolts to 41 Nm (30 Lb Ft).
