Brake Pad: Description and Operation
The front brake pads are held in the front disc brake caliper by two clips. The inboard front brake shoe and lining is equipped with a wear indicator. The
wear indicator contacts the front disc brake rotor and makes a squealing noise when the front brake pads are worn. The noise is a warning to the vehicle
owners that the brakes need service before damage occurs to the front disc brake rotor.
