Brake Pad: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove approximately two-thirds of the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder reservoir if the fluid level is at the MAX mark.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
Brake Caliper Bolts
4. Use a Tort T40 bit to remove the two brake caliper bolts.
5. Lift the front disc brake caliper on the front disc brake rotor and remove it with the stainless steel locating pins.
6. Use a length of wire to support the front disc brake caliper from the front shock absorber.
7. Use a C-clamp to retract the caliper piston fully in the piston bore.
8. Remove the outboard front brake shoe and lining from the front disc brake caliper.
