Brake Hose/Line: Service and Repair
Rear
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the rear brake hose from the upper brake tube.
CAUTION:Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately
wash it with water.
3. Remove the brake hose clip from the rear brake hose support bracket.
4. Disconnect the rear brake hose from the lower brake tube.
CAUTION:Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately
wash it with water.
5. Remove the brake hose clip and the rear brake hose from the rear brake hose support bracket.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the brake tube flare nuts to 15-18 Nm (11-13 ft. lbs.).
3. Bleed the brake system.
