Temperature Gauge: Description and Operation
With Electronic Instrument Cluster
The temperature gauge is integrated into the electronic instrument cluster (EIC). The temperature gauge display is identified by a thermometer symbol.
H (Hot) indicates high temperature, C (Cold) indicates low temperature, and NORMAL indicates a normal temperature range. The temperature gauge
indicates the engine coolant temperature based upon a resistance sent by the water temperature indicator sender unit.
As engine coolant temperature increases, successive bars on the gauge will illuminate in relation to the following temperatures:
