17. Remove the camshaft from the front of the cylinder head.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the camshaft into the cylinder head.
NOTE: Coat the camshaft and any moving parts in clean engine oil prior to installing on the cylinder head.
2. Install the camshaft thrust plate.
NOTE: Select the appropriate camshaft thrust plate. Refer to the cylinder head disassembly and assembly procedure.
3. Temporarily install the camshaft sprocket on the end of the camshaft.
4. Install the camshaft thrust plate bolt and use Cam Sprocket Holding/Removing Tool T74P-6256-B to hold the camshaft. Tighten the camshaft
thrust plate bolt to 78-88 Nm (58-65 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
