Crankshaft: Testing and Inspection
Runout
Set the crankshaft on V-blocks and use Dial Indicator with Bracketry TOOL-4201-C, or equivalent, to inspect the crankshaft runout.
Standard crankshaft runout is 0.025 mm (0.0010 inch). Maximum crankshaft runout is 0.10 mm (0.0039 inch). If the crankshaft runout exceeds
specification, replace the crankshaft.
