7. Crankshaft main bearing oil clearances should be within 0.028-0.055 mm (0.0011-0.0022 inch). If the main bearing oil clearances exceed
0.090mm (0.0035 inch) install one of the following crankshaft main bearings to bring the oil clearance within specification.
8. If an acceptable clearance cannot be achieved by replacing the crankshaft main bearings, grind the crankshaft and install an undersized crankshaft
main bearing.
The undersize crankshaft main bearing thickness is 1.948-1.956 mm (0.0767-0.0770 inch).
9. If the crankshaft is being replaced, select the correct crankshaft main bearings as follows:
a. Note the grade number of each crankshaft main journal (A) stamped on the cylinder block.
