Engine Block Heater: Description and Operation
The block heater warms the engine coolant, providing improved starting. The block heater also warms up the engine faster and allows the heater-defrost
system to respond more quickly. The block heater option is recommended where winter temperatures are consistently -29° C (-20° F) or below. The
block heater should be plugged in at least three hours before using.
