Evaporator Case: Service and Repair
A/C Evaporator Case
Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool Set
SPECIAL SERVICE TOOL(S) REQUIRED
REMOVAL
1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant from the A/C system.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Use A/C Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool Set T84L-19623-B to disconnect the A/C evaporator core inlet line and condenser to evaporator
tube from inside the engine compartment.
4. Remove the four RH instrument panel lower cover screws and the RH instrument panel lower cover.
5. Remove the heater unit-to-RH register duct.
6. Disconnect the blower motor, blower motor resistor and the A/C air inlet door actuator motor electrical connectors from the A/C
evaporator/blower motor assembly.
7. Remove the five A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly bolts and remove the A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly in the vehicle, Install the five A/C evaporator assembly bolts. Tighten the A/C
evaporator/blower motor assembly bolts securely.
2. Connect the blower motor, blower motor resistor, and A/C air inlet door actuator motor electrical connectors to the A/C evaporator/blower motor
assembly.
3. Install the heater unit-to-the RH register duct.
4. Install the RH instrument panel lower cover and install the four RH instrument panel lower cover screws.
