Evaporator Case: Description and Operation
The A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly is located behind the instrument panel on the passenger side of the vehicle. The A/C evaporator/blower
motor assembly contains the:
^
Blower motor
^
Blower motor resistor
^
A/C air inlet door
^
A/C air inlet door actuator motor
^
A/C evaporator core
The volume of airflow sent through the system is controlled by the blower motor control knob on the climate control assembly. This control knob
operates a four-speed blower motor that is mounted under the A/C evaporator/blower motor assembly. The four-speed operation of the blower motor is
achieved through a heater blower motor resistor located next to the blower motor.
The blower motor and blower motor wheel draws in recirculated or outside air through the A/C air inlet door. and sends it through the A/C evaporator
core, then to the heater assembly.
