1.

Discharge and recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to the appropriate year Villager Service Manual, Section 12-00, for details.

2.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

3.

Remove the RH instrument panel lower cover screws and the RH instrument panel lower cover.

4.

Remove the heater unit-to-RH register duct.

5.

Disconnect the blower motor, blower motor resistor and the A/C air inlet door actuator motor electrical connectors from the A/C evaporator
housing assembly.

6.

Use A/C Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool Set (TS4L-19623-B) to disconnect the evaporator core inlet line and condenser to evaporator
tube from inside the engine compartment.

7.

Remove the evaporator housing assembly bolts and remove the assembly from the vehicle.

8.

Remove the evaporator housing screws and separate the evaporator housing halves.

9.

Remove the evaporator core from the evaporator housing assembly.

10.

Remove the evaporator core seal from the evaporator core and any seal adhesive that may still be sticking to the evaporator core.

11.

Remove tar wrap seals from evaporator core tubes and evaporator housing assembly.

12.

Drain all water from the inside of the evaporator housing assembly and evaporator core and wipe dry.

13.

Remove any debris from the evaporator housing assembly and evaporator core using compressed air and wiping clean with a rag.

14.

Using A/C Disodorizer(R) (YN-18) from A/C Disodorizer(R) Kit (F6AZ-19G210-AA), spray disodorizer inside the evaporator housing and on
both sides of the evaporator core.

15.

Install revised Evaporator Core Seal (XF5Z-19D578-AA) onto the evaporator core while taking care to install the retaining tab on the seal into the
middle slot of the A/C evaporator core.

16.

Position the evaporator core in the evaporator housing assembly.

17.

Install a new Tar Wrap Seal (rope sealer - procure locally) around evaporator housing assembly. Join the A/C evaporator housing assembly halves
together and install the evaporator housing screws.

18.

Install two (2) new Tar Wrap Seals (rope sealer - procure locally) onto evaporator core tubes.

19.

Install a new Foam Seal (F3XY-19B742-A) around the opening of the evaporator housing assembly that connects to the heater unit.

20.

Position the evaporator housing assembly in the vehicle. Install the evaporator housing assembly bolts.

21.

Connect the blower motor, blower motor resistor, and air inlet door actuator motor electrical connectors to the evaporator housing assembly.

22.

Install the heater unit-to-RH register duct.

23.

Install the RH instrument panel lower cover and install the RH instrument panel lower cover screws.

24.

Connect the evaporator core inlet line and condenser to the evaporator tube spring lock coupling inside the engine compartment.

25.

Connect the battery ground cable.

26.

Evacuate and charge the A/C system. Leak test the A/C system. Refer to the appropriate year Villager Service Manual, Section 12-00, for details.
