Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

1. Raise the vehicle and remove the front wheel and tire assembly, disc brake caliper and front disc brake rotor.
2. Position Dial Indicator Back Plunger D87L-4201-A or equivalent and Magnetic Base D87L-4201-B or equivalent to the front wheel hub.
3. Push and pull the front wheel hub by hand in the axial direction and measure the front wheel bearing play.
4. If the front wheel bearing play exceeds 0.05 mm (0.002 inch), check and adjust the front axle wheel hub retainer torque or, if necessary, replace

the front wheel bearing.

5. Install the front disc brake rotor, disc brake caliper and the wheel and tire assembly.
