Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Adjustments
1. Start the engine and let it warm up until it reaches normal operating temperature.
2. Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.
3. Disconnect the Idle Air Control Valve.
4. Check the idle speed.
Idle speed should be 650-750 rpm (A/T in "N" position).
If not proceed to step 5.
NOTE: Do not check the idle speed with the engine cooling fan
running.
5. Adjust the idle speed to 650-750 rpm (A/T in "N" position ) by turning the idle adjusting screw.
6. Turn the engine off and reconnect the IAC solenoid connector.
