NOTE:  Apply petroleum jelly to the one-way clutch bearing prior to installation.

3. Align the three pawls of the ring gear thrust washer with the holes in the ring gear and install.

NOTE:  Apply petroleum jelly to the ring gear thrust washer prior to installation.

4. Install the one-way clutch bearing onto the ring gear.

NOTE:  Apply petroleum jelly to the one-way clutch bearing prior to installation.

5. Install the forward clutch hub onto the ring gear and check the operation of the forward one-way clutch (sprag).
