Blend Door Actuator Control Rod
NOTE: If the blend door actuator rod was disconnected during repairs of the actuator motor, follow the following steps to re-install.
1. Initially position the threaded portion of the rod, centered in the rod retainer clip on the temp door crank.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Turn the temperature control knob (manual) or Temperature Selection Rocker Switch (EATC) to the FULL HEAT position.
4. Verify that there is no looseness in the linkage or temp door crank. This means the door is tight against the door stop.
5. Turn the temperature control knob (manual) or temperature selection rocker switch (EATC) to the FULL COOL position.
6. Verify that there is no looseness in the linkage or temp door crank. This means the door is tight against the door stop.
7. If there is looseness in the linkage in full heat/cool, reposition the rod one thread and repeat steps 2-7.
8. Close the rod retainer latch on the rod retainer clip.
