Compressor Clutch: Adjustments
Special Tool(s)
1. Remove the A/C compressor.
2. Hold the A/C compressor in a vise equipped with soft jaws.
3. Using the special tools adjust the dial indicator to 0 with the dial indicator point touching the A/C clutch.
4. Using jumper wires, supply a ground and power to the A/C clutch coil terminal to engage the A/C clutch.
5. Measure the A/C clutch travel with the Dial Indicator; replace the spacer shim if necessary.
