Special tools required:

23 0 350 See: Tools and Equipment/Manufacturer Tools/23 0 350 Drift

23 0 490 See: Tools and Equipment/Manufacturer Tools/23 0 490 Extractor
Note:
After completion of work, check gear oil level See: Service and Repair.
Use only the approved gear oil See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Technical Data/Transmission, General: R50, R52.
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the manual transmission!
Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove transmission See: Service and Repair/Removing and Installing Transmission (W10)
Release retainer with screwdriver from clutch release lever.
Remove release lever (1).
Release screws (2) and remove guide bush.
