Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
1.
Loosen wheel lug nuts, then raise rear of vehicle with suitable jack placed under center of rear axle.
2.
Support side frames on jackstands, remove wheel, and slowly lower jack.
3.
Remove parking brake cable clamp from leaf spring, then drain fluid at bleeder screw and disconnect brake lines.
4.
Disconnect shock absorber upper and lower attaching bolts and disengage upper end.
5.
Loosen U-bolt nuts and jack up rear axle housing until axle housing clears U-bolt seat, then remove U-bolt seat.
