STEP 20. Check the horn relay connector A-10X and horn connectors A-27 and A-28 for damage.
Q: Are horn relay connector A-10X and horn connectors A-27 and A-28 in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 21.
NO: Repair or replace them. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection. The horn should sound when the system is triggered.
STEP 21. Check the harness wires between horn relay connector A-10X and horn connectors A-27 and A-28.
NOTE: After checking joint connector A-17, check the wires. If joint connector A-17 is damaged, repair or replace it. Refer to Harness Connector
Inspection.
Q: Are the harness wires between horn relay connector A-10X and horn connectors A-27 and A-28 in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 22.
NO: Repair it. The horn should sound when the theft-alarm system is triggered.
STEP 22. Check to make sure the horn is installed properly.
NOTE: The horn is grounded to the body through the installation bolts.
Q: Is the horn installation in good condition?
YES: Replace the ETACS-ECU. The horn should sound when the theft-alarm system is triggered.
NO: Repair it. The horn should sound when the theft-alarm system is triggered.

Theft-alarm system: Headlights (high-beam) do not flash when the theft-alarm system is triggered.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)
If the headlights (high-beam) work normally, the front-ECU or the ETACS-ECU may be defective.
