Oil Pan: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

    Refer to Fig. 5 when replacing the oil pan assembly.

1.

Remove engine undercover.

2.

Drain engine oil into a suitable container.

3.

Remove steel oil pan bolts in sequence shown, Fig. 6.

4.

Insert oil pan remover tool KV10111100, or equivalent and remove steel oil pan. Use care not to damage aluminum oil pan when inserting oil
pan remover tool.

5.

Remove oil baffle plate.

6.

Remove front exhaust tube.

7.

With engine properly supported, remove center member.

8.

On models with automatic transmissions, remove shift control cable.
