To install the mixing tips to the Duramix adhesive tube, cut the very tip of the adhesive tube spout off, insert the mixing tip onto the spout,
then twist 1/4 turn to lock it in place.

Have scrap piece of material (such as cardboard) handy for excess glue deposits.

Before using the adhesive on the headliner fasteners, squeeze out some adhesive mixture through the tip to ensure it is mixing properly.

Duramix adhesive has a 20 second work time-continue to squeeze out mixture between applications to prevent adhesive from drying in the
mixing tip.

b. Using a 3M 04991 Applicator Gun and Duramix Mixing Tips from the kit, apply the Adhesive to cover the entire back side of a Headliner

Fastener (see Figure 10).

Obtain the Applicator Gun from a local source such as McMaster Carr, or local auto parts store.

The Applicator Gun is considered as a Shop Supply.
