Inhibitor Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inhibitor Switch Test

1.

Disconnect connector for inhibitor switch.

2.

Using an ohm meter check for continuity as per the following.

3.

Transmission in PARK position:
Continuity between terminals A and B.

4.

Transmission in NEUTRAL position:
Continuity between terminals A and B.

Replace inhibitor switch if it fails above tests.
