Power Steering Pump: Service and Repair
Pulley Removal and Installation

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 25033-C Power Steering Pulley Remover

-

J25034-C Power Steering Pulley Installer

1. Remove the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine.
2. Remove the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine.
3. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.

4. Remove the power steering pump pulley using the J 25034-C

Installation Procedure 

1. Install the power steering pump pulley to the pump using the J25033-C. Ensure that the face of the pulley hub is flush with the pump drive shaft.
2. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.
3. Install the drive belt to the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine.
4. Install the upper engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement in Engine.
5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding Power Steering System under Steering Service and Repair.
