INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the oil pan gasket.
NOTICE: Install the oil level sensor, located in the oil pan, after the oil pan is installed. The sensor may be damaged if the oil level sensor is installed
first.
2. Install the oil pan.
3. Apply one drop of thread lock compound GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent to the cleaned oil pan bolt threads.
4. Install the oil pan bolts.

Tighten the oil pan bolts to 14 Nm (125 inch lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten. bolts or damage to the oil pan may occur, resulting in an oil leak.
5. Install new right side frame bolts.
6. Place the engine mount bracket in the proper position.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Lower the engine, using the engine support fixture.
9. Remove the universal engine support fixture.
10. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
11. Install the engine mount bracket bolts to the engine.
12. Install the engine mount nuts.
