The National Parts Department is standardizing the replacement valve cover gasket for the XU9J4 engine. This will be the only replacement part
available for this engine.
The new gasket can be installed in place of tbe original one. The installation procedure indicated in this bulletin must be followed when using this gasket.
INSTALLATION:
NOTE:
This procedure must be performed on a cold engine.

Thoroughly clean the gasket channel in the valve cover (make sure that all gasket material is removed from this channel).

Replace:
-
the three valve cover bolt hole gaskets (1), P/N 0258.35.
-
the four spark plug bore gaskets (2), P/N 0213.06.
