INSTRUMENT PANEL DEFROSTER GRILLE LOOSE (NEW REPAIR PROCEDURE)

CONDITION:
Some of the 1992 Bonneville models may exhibit an unseated/loose instrument panel defroster grille.
CORRECTION:
Three (3) types of fasteners attach the defroster grille. Following are the three types used:
(a)
Forward clips on the instrument panel
(b)
Hook and loop fasteners on the ends of the defroster grille and the instrument panel
(c)
The metal clips attached to the defroster grille.
(1)
Remove the defroster grille by carefully prying up on the rearward edge and then pulling the grille rearward to disengage the forward clips.
(2)
Remove any sensors from the grille by twisting in a clockwise direction as viewed from the bottom of the grille.
