Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

EVAPORATOR CORE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair

2. Remove the seal from around the heater core and the evaporator tubes.
3. Remove the upper A/C evaporator case screws.
4. Separate the A/C evaporator case halves.

5. Remove the evaporator core.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Add the proper amount of refrigerant oil to the evaporator core. Refer to Refrigerant System Capacities (L36)Refrigerant System Capacities

(LD8).
