Remove engine compartment cover.

Remove three upper strut nuts and washers, Fig. 10.
3.
Loosen wheel lug nuts, then raise vehicle and support at rear control arm.

Remove wheel and tire assembly, then the brake line retaining clip.

Scribe strut and knuckle, Fig. 11, for assembly reference. When servicing the jounce bumper, strut mount, strut shield, spring seal or spring
insulator, the strut and knuckle must be scribed as shown in Fig. 11 to maintain the original camber setting. However, it will be necessary to check
toe-in setting and adjust as necessary. When servicing the strut damper, knuckle or rear ride spring, the scribe marks should not be made.
However, it will be necessary to check both toe-in and camber settings and correct as necessary.
6.
Remove strut attaching nuts and bolts, then the strut assembly and spacer plate.
7.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque knuckle attaching nuts to 140 ft. lbs., and upper strut attaching nuts to 18 ft. lbs.
